How To Plan a Strategic Communication Campaign

Civil Liberties Union for Europe

About This Course

This course is a standalone crash course on how to build a strategic communications campaign around human rights issues.

It will introduce you to some basic principles based on the so-called G.A.M.E. Plan methodology. The G.A.M.E. Plan walks you through 1) Goal setting, 2) Audience and segmentation, 3) Messaging, 4) Engagement strategies.

The course is meant for entry-level communications staff, or for staffers who work at different field (advocacy, legal or development) and want to better understand how communications work.

The course content is delivered through a series of short videos, with additional guidance and examples in text, as well as quizzes you can work through to check how much you’ve learnt.

Each unit has a video of roughly 5 minutes in length, followed by a short quiz on the content of that unit, meaning the entire course can be completed carefully in roughly 30 - 40 minutes.

You will receive a diploma certifying your training within one month of completing the course.
